Hello eveyone,

I'm bringing my truck out of storage and It will be the first time that I have done this.

I'm wondering if it is beneficial to put a couple of ounces of oil down the spark plug holes before the initial start up? If anyone could give me a rundown of things to remember before I start it up I would appreciate it

thanks,

you could pull the coil wire and the fuel pump relay, than crank the motor till it builds up pressure.

is one as effective as the other? I forgot to mention it has been in storage since November....so 5 months.

Change your oil and filter, make sure when you change the filter, load it with oil when you re-install it. Pull the distributor and get a oil priming rod. Put the rod in your favorite electric drill and spin the pump for awhile. Then turn the engine over by hand a few times and your good to go.
