The gears got you outta the hole quicker, but you lost mph on the top end.
It's a trade off I guess.

Too bad we don't have 4.30 gears for our rears.

I guess I misunderstood...

I thought you had already put 4.56 gears in since your last time out racing.

My bad.

Youre ET is so good because your short time is excellent. I think if you take it down to a 3.55 it's going to hurt your short time so much you won't recover it on the top end. Unless you are out of RPM up top I wouldn't change it.

Agreed dont drop below the 3.92 ratio as our trucks are heavy pigs and we need to gearing to get them out of the hole.

Na my bad I should of explained myself better I wanted to put 4.56 gears but I never had the time or money to do it but I do now. So best way to go is 4.56 gears

The stock intake is going to fall off up top, and you probably still have stock valvesprings which may float anywhere between 5300 to 5500 rpm depending on how worn they are. If you want to step up in gear you might want to address those two things at the same time.

See what trap rpm each gear ratio puts you at now, and where you'd eventually like to be for your goals and pick a ratio that puts you at or just after you power peak

My thoughts exactly, what are you going through the traps at?
