I have to do this mod to my truck. It is IMO looks as good as doing a rollpan. My concern is the installation. How secure is it ? Will it withstand the force of 130mph or more ? I've seen them on ebay for under $50 shipped.Any help in this matter would be appreciated.Thanks,pete.

With enough duct tape [200 mile-an-hour-tape] she'll stay on just fine. lol

Although the install is "rigged", mine is secure. It is bolted thru the rigid plastic piece that covers the bottom of the radiator, using rubber washers and steel lock washers. Along the outer edges, I was only able to attach it to the plastic bumper cover using a small metal bracket.

Really, I just set it up how it looked good, and figure what I could attach it to. I have more concerns with it on hills [approach angle] and curbs.

I have one on my Durango. There are a lot of reproduction ones available. I've had two. Tip, get the Goodmark brand one. Summit has it. I've had two. The fist was made of ABS and eventrully cracke from road depris. The Goodmark is more softer and more flexable.

Geez, its been a while. I do remember notching the plastic bumper cover in the center, because the spoiler has a vee shape, the back edge of the bumper cover is strait. I remember some of the fasteners only went into the soft cover, but some were drilled right into the hard plastic which protects the bottom of the radiator. Don't drill too far! Really it was pretty easy, and just 'rigged' as I went along...heres a few more pix:

(Jim, didn't you used to post on the Delphi R/T forum? I think it was you i got this mod idea from for the spoiler)

The way Installed mine, I did not do any cutting. As Jim indicated, the spoiler does have a V shape. I'm not sure what you trimmed Jim. The Camaro dam has about a 1-2" horizontal surface with 4 (or 3?) holes on eithther side of the center. I marked and drilled through the uerthane valance. The dam has a slight V shape. I cut 4 pieces of 1" aluminum strip from depot/lowes and drilled matching holes in the aluminum. It's attached sandwiching the air dam and the valance between two of the aluminum strips with 3/8 stainless bolts and nuts. An aluminum strip is on top inside the lip of the valance. The dam is under the valance and another aluminum strip is under the dam lip. The valance has a slight curve but it gets flattened by the aluminum strips some and the dam does conform a little.

Well, You are welcome to stop by and take all the pix you need...First: clear away about a foot of snow thats ice encrusted, Second: roll around on the frozen ground with the nose of the truck about three inches off the ground, [snow, really, not dirt] and Third: snap away. ...Of course there is an alternate solution... First: get jumper cables and fire-up the truck. Second: slide the truck down the ice encrusted driveway, out to the street. Third: Enjoy actually driving the truck to a garage and put it on the lift. Forth: snap away... Or just figure it out for yourself...

it might have been me i post on delphi. if not it was jim or don.

mine i just put tape across the bottom of my bumper then clamped the spoiler to the bumper with ezgrips. then i drilled out the mounting holes in the bottom of the bumper cover fromt he center moving out. took the spoiler off an removed the tape (the tape was only there to keep the paint in good shape around your drill holes) then i put the camaro spoiler back up and bolted it on. i used bolts, washers, and nylon lock nuts to put it on. has worked like a charm for about 3 years now.

30 bux beats 200 for a stillen/street scenes bumper. in my opinion this lip looks better too...

i am on my second one cause i cracked one on an ice chunk thrown off a snow plow. no big deal i just ordered another one. i take it off in the winter now to avoid that happening again.

Mine is not as pronounced with the Stillen front. The bottom of the Stillen stickes out 6" beyond the bottom of the stock valance. Mine is a 4x4 but is lowered about 1 1/2 - 2". I mainly got the dam to close up some of the gap from the bumper to the ground. I helps the front look a little lower when you do not see daylight.

I'm on my second also. The first one cracked from some road debris (or the wife hitting a parking stop). The first one was some reproduction made of ABS. ABS is brittle and will crack. The second one I got is from Goodmark. It is made of a much softer plastic and is pretty flexable. It has held up much better. I got the Goodmark through Summit.

Yea I know Don's silver Dak. I don't know how he keep his dam silver. It must take a lot of hits.

Hmm, I've got a Stillen bumper cover I haven't mounted yet. One of the things I haven't figured out yet is mounting the front license plate. I wonder if I could mount my front plate directly to the chin spoiler?

I'm not sure that the spoiler is as tall as plate.
