um they are pretty quick. if your rt runs 15.3 or higher, you will be neck and neck. if you race one from the launch you will pull about 3-4 cars and he will slowly come up but not enough to beat you. i raced one and had him by about 5 cars. now from a roll he ate my lunch, b/c they downshift into really low, and just go, but i eventually got back up there with him.

i raced one at the track a few weeks ago he had long tube headers, exhaust, cai, and a custom tune he ran a 14.6. This was a 2 wd ss which are suppose to be a slight bit faster if they hook up than the 4wd. I beat him I ran a 14.3 to his 14.6. I think from the factory they run somewhere in the neighborhood of a 15.

I could be wrong, but like the rumble bee, a true ss slvrado is a 4x4.They ran 15.9's stock w/6.0 vortec.I have seen some fake ss trucks, and a guy in town has a joe gibbs 5.3 w/vortec.Also premier mods trucks for chevy that look like SS's.I can't say for sure what it was.

i think they offer a 2wd version now It was a true ss with the embroidered seat and everything i even asked the guy he said in 2005 they started making them in a 2 wd platform.

well for bolt on mod to bolt on mod i think you prob got him. Those trucks do respond pretty well to aftermarket heads and cams so beware of that.

have you run your truck at a track? Sounds kinda highschool to me.
Just line em up and race.

Unless he's heavily modded, I'd think you'll clean his clock.

truck is almost done, and i tdoes sound high school, but its not me shooting my mouth off, and yes the truck has been on the track numerous times, i just unforunate that we have a bunch of loud mouths in this town, and as for me ive always had a reputation for fast cars, so word gets around.

How you like that Tru Trac? I heard good things back when I was into Mustangs but no word about Dakota's.
