which snap-on scanner will set the fuel sync and which keys accessories will i need to accomplish my needs?

You might be able to find an older OTC monitor enhanced for cheap, they stopped updating them in 02, so most shops have upgraded to a newer model. I got mine for $100, and it does fuel sync, obd2 logs, and all the other cool stuff up through 02, and still reads most obd codes on newer models.

so how will you know if its enhanced? i have an 02

That's what it's called, it says enhanced monitor on the front. It was also sold by Matco, and called a matco 4000. It looks like this:

E-gay is your friend!!!

I was looking at these and the Snap-On 2500 and you could get them all day for $100-600

i see all the snap on stuff on e-gay and they take different cartrages and keys which keys are needed?

the ones I saw came with them.

The GM Ford and Chrysler were all the same cartridge.

A Snap On 2500 with a relatively new domestic cartridge and a K13 key is all you need.

My 2002 required a 13a key. not sure what year they went from 13 to 13a

From what I was seeing I think 2002 was the last year for the 2500.

I think they went to the Solorus after that.

Grapejuice has one so listen to him more than me!!!

I just want one!!! LOL!!

Do these read ABS trouble codes and cycle the valves for bleeding brakes etc? What other modes to they have?

You're probably right about the "a" key. I leave it in there, so I only remember it as K13.
