I wasn't saying anything although I had heard on the grapevine about it...

Im running around like crazy comparing superchargers and turbo's and all I keep hearing is this "amazing" thing your doing with a Vortech.

If you know your doing it and all is well...share with us! Ive seen good prices on kits but yours is supposed to under sell em all...

whats your kit gonna be and how much $$$ we talking? If I know this and many other people do you could get a idea out here of how many people are gonna be interested.

Indulge us Sir...

"I do have another setup coming to purchase though if you want a nice alternative to a paxton -- more geared to the 8-10psi guys, paxton is capable of much more....

But basically I reverse engineered the old vortech kit and I will have the base mounting kit with everything you need minus whatever fuel setup you decide on (SCT will be my guess for most) and the head unit for under 1000 bux.....

I figured most guys would cruise the mustang boards looking for a head unit OR I can get you a brand new one at my cost to whomever buys the mounting kit from me....

So basically you are into a Vortech Tuner kit for 2700ish if you choose to do a brand new head unit.....or something like 17-1800 if you find a deal on a head unit on a mustang board. So with injectors/SCT and dyno tune somewhere under 4 grand for a much more precise setup than the old kit which sold for well over 4K.....

I will post up info this week - I have a prototype set of brackets coming this week and I will assemble the rest of the kit and make an official post :-)

Ok fine.....meet me by the bike rack ;)

Basically I took the vortech brackets and reverse engineered them.....the mounting plate will be a waterjet cut 420 stainless piece and the mounting block will be a machine piece of billet 6061-T6. I have found a source for all the original discharge tubes and intake tubes. I am having custom oil lines done for both feed and return. All hardware will be stainless steel. Air filter included. Air hat included. All silicon hose couplers included. Stainless T Clamps included. Basically a full mounting kit, I figured most guys would want that so they could hunt down a good deal on a head unit, I am however setup with Vortech and will offer head units at my cost to whomever buys the mounting kit from me......there is many options for head units that will fit the bracket - V1-S V1-T(I have one of these for mine) V2-SQ V7-YSi(this is the big boy).....

The parts are drawn up in solidworks just waiting on some prototypes, I have been promised within the next 7 days.....

Retail cost on this kit will be around 995 + Shipping......so if you find a good deal on a head unit you are into a tuner kit for under 2000, if I supply a head unit you are into a tuner kit for about 2800.....which I think is the cheapest tuner package for this truck by far.....the paxton tuner at WD cost is 3500 bux - the reason I wanted to do this vortech kit is I just wanted a street blower with 9psi - the vortech has always worked plenty fine for that and is alot less complex of a setup than the paxton.....basically the paxton was overkill for what I needed now. I like the vortech option cause if people do wanna crank the boost a bit there is options for more efficient head units to upgrade to.

That is it in a nutshell......more to come soon!

V7-YSi(this is the big boy).....

You sir have peaked my interest...tell me more about this "big boy" (thats the trim you think Roy Evans was running correct?)
which of these would fit your kit? http://www.superchargersonline.com/product_listing_MT3.asp?MfgID=Vortech&CatTopLev=headunits&Cat3=v7_headunit

Sounds very nice, I guess I will be waiting to see what you come up with. You can get any of those head units from Vortech though correct?

One more question I have to ask, will you be offering polished brackets or is that something we would need to do ourself? You doing any intercooler options?

So everything you need but a fuel system? I like :) Cant wait to hear more!

The V7 YSi is the same gear case as the v1 & v2....what you would need is a curved discharge V7 YSi......I can get you that head unit for like 2750 shipped in polish.....it is the head unit roy was running I believe.....

I wont be offering anything in polished I dont think.....its too much of pita to take shit to the polisher and have it done.....I am doing mine though ;-)

Intercoolers - that is not my department dude ;-) - I and just selling the basic kit, the intercooler is not going to happen as a product.....I am prolly going the SNOW performance route on mine.....
