Well I am looking to buy a set of either bogarts or something comparable. How much is a set of Bogart rears? Looking at about a 16x11. Is there another company that I could go with? I do want to run them on the street with some drag radials then sooner or later go to a full slick. Your opinions are welcome.

Do you want to go cheap now or just go ahead and get those Bogarts or another racing wheel? the reason why i am asking, cause what if you want to go with just some steel wheels for now and just put the drag radials on them, then that would be the cheapest way right now and you can drive on the street with them. If you want to go for speed, time, and lightest wheels (also a bit more pricey), go with the Pro-6 Racing wheels (which should not be on the street/ daily driving) and a slick setup from M&H Tire. I am debating that concept right now, see i like the "big/little" look on cars, wondering if i want to drive like that all the time or just have it for the strip. I think i finally decided to go with the drag radials for the 17's and just have the "big/little" for the racing at the track.
I am sure that Bogarts can build you a 16x11 wheels for you but those will be a bit more expensive than just those steel wheels. It just depends on what kind of setup you want and how you want the setup to perform, or the look you want.

I've got a set of American Racing 15's on mine that clear the SSBC rear brakes. You can try them on yours some time to see if they will clear yours.

That would be a nice idea if they could fit on my rears.

I checked with bogart and they are silly expensive. The Real Racing rims are 370 a wheel for a 16x11 with an 8" backspacing. That sound about right?

Keep me updated on the wheels. I am also looking for a set that will fit. I use a set of 16x8 dak wheels for racing but, want something lighter.

I'll be up your way at Gunpowder Falls State Park up there on Saturday for the Dak-Dur meet if you want to try the wheels out.

What I have so far.

Bogarts 16x11 = 480
Real Racing Pro 6 16x11 = 371
16x10 = 364

Weld = nothing custom

Anything else out there?

There is a meet this weekend? The only weekend out of the year I work? Depends what time and what day. I am going to a Cubs game on Saturday, but will be home sunday evening. Are they lightweight wheels? What model are they?

The meet is Saturday from 1pm on. The rims are aluminum and lighter than the stock wheels. I don't know how much they weigh exactly.

I believe those are the same as mine on Jack Williams' '03.

Crappy pic of mine from last weekend. They are America Racing Baja's. Summit gets $98 each for them.

Can you get them in anything wider than a 15x8 or 16x8? I am looking for at least a 10 inch wheel.

Nope. They are 15x8. Wider isn't always better. I have a Hoosier 28x9 slick in their stickiest compound and they definitely hook. Down to 1.7 60's n/a and I'm sure they will go lower. 18 psi and no wobble at the top either. Alan cuts some serious 60's on juice on the same tires with his 408.

Hmm, Hoosier looks like the way to go with their rim recommendations. I can even go with a 28x10 on a 15x8 wheel and still be within the recommendations of Hoosier. Question is how much is 40 pounds of unsprung weight going to cost me? Is it worth the 600 extra dollars for wheels?

Check this out.

There is even a 28x10 in a 16 that goes to a 12 inch footprint but i would need a 16x10 wheel. Ah.

These Hoosiers pick up more crap in the pits and staging lanes than any MT tire I've used so far. They are sticky for sure.

40 extra lbs where? I have some Bogart Billet Lites up front. They aren't too bad of a match on the truck. People at the track have all been seeing my tailgate anyways, including a slobra last time, so I don't think it matters too much what they look like from the side.

That would actually be sweet, cause the wheels are only 200 bucks and the slicks only about 350 for the slicks, so 550 for a sweet hookup.

I am going by what a set of real pro 16x10 would weigh. Those would be about 30 combined so I was thinking about 70 for a different set of wheels. That is where I got the 40 from. Is it worth it? I will be making about 600hp by july, so will need something that really hooks.

I'll weigh these if I can remember some time. I don't think you could shock them harder than Alan does with his 408 on a 150 shot. There's a ton of high HP cars on 10.5 tires out there too. http://s230.photobucket.com/albums/ee49/geno239/?action=view&current=CarolinaRace1.flv
