Well i made it to the track today and it ran pretty good. The temp outside today was around 75-80 and the track prep was ok I have seen them do better. On a 100 shot it ran

On a 150 shot I raced a lightning that was pullied with a ported blower and drag radials. Needless to say he got beat I think he ran a 13.2

He's either waiting, or spraying off the line and spinning. Bottle may have not been to full temp. either on the 150 pass, should see at least a 4/10 drop in e.t.

i'm spraying off the line and the bottle pressure is around 1000-1050psi. l'm kinda rolling into the throttle so i don't blow the tires off. It definatly has alot more in it. I think the 150 jets are running a lil rich compared to the 100 shot b/c i figured i would of picked up a tenth or 2 more than what it did. Maybe sometime i'll hit up the chassis dyno and get her dialed in.

What tires are you running? I thought you had M&Hs...

What fuel pill are you using with the 150? I always used 35 for fuel.

just bolt ons, M1, 1.7rr, fastman tb, gibson headers w/ true duals no cats, B&g pcm flash. The combo seems to work pretty decent. I'd like to see what it would do with a stall, gears, and a real set of headers. On my N/a runs today I was running a 14.4 not the best i've done but it wasn't 50 degrees out either. Hopefully next time i can get a dead hook off the line and with a little cooler weather i'm going to say it might run a 12.6-12.7

Yeah, if you have a 35, use it for the fuel side. If you're running that 38 fuel pill for a 100 shot, it's WAY too much fuel. I wouldn't go any lower than 35 on the 150 until you get a dyno session in with A/F. If it's super fat with the 35, you could prolly bump it down to a 33.

Oh, and I would think those M&Hs should stick just fine coming out of the hole on the spray.

hey mike i found out why the kit wouldn't kick on in that last run. It looks as if the relay went bad. Time to head to the parts store.

well i found out why it went out. The relay that came with the nitrous kit was cracked so i go to autozone and got a new one but it was only rated at 30amps and the one that came with the kit was rated at 40amps. I'm guessing it just burned up. Not a big deal i picked up two of the 40amp relays today and did a little testing :woot: I now have some 150ft black marks in front of my house. From a 20 roll all the way through second gear on street tires.

yea I think i'm going to switch them back out to 100 when i go back to the track friday night. But I took the bottle out of the truck today for the time being. It kind of sucks that youtube is down right now I was wanting to see the lightning go down.

i was at Muffler Dave's 2 days prior to that race getting my cutout put in. we used a dead blow hammer to prop the exhaust in place while he cut out a section and welded the cutout in. well, as it turned out we forgot about the hammer until race day. the massive rpm fluctuation in that vid you here is the hammer falling out and me running over the hammer. my camera guy went down track side to collect the "debris", LOL!!! and returned it to me. i didn't know what the hell happen until i saw the hammer and L'dMFAO!!!! so i returned the hammer back to Muffler Dave's and said he had a 12 sec hammer. they then hung it on the wall and wrote that under it.

so..... i call that vid "Laying The Hammer Down On A Lightning".....LITERALY!!!

What kind of nitrous kit are you using? Whats your set up like? Where do you have the bottle mounted? Im curious, still a few months away from gettin a kit, but ive got very similar mods waiting to be installed this year.

the NX kit is the most common. with the GenX II upgrade kit you'll have all you need minus a bottle opener. best place to mount the bottle is in the bed.

NOS & ZEX also have kits avail

i would go with the nx kit. I have the bottle mounted in the passenger side of the bed. I decided to go with a 15lb bottle with the kit. I also went with all of the accessories. purge, heater, fuel pressure switch, blow down tube, and i also purchased a bottle blanket to help keep the pressure consistant. Without the blanket the heater was having trouble heating a 15lb full bottle but once i put a blanket on it the pressure seemed to hold steady. I went with a NOS brand blanket because I couldn't justify spending an extra 80 bucks on the Nx brand blanket.
