Yea just for the record that was a couple of yrs ago and I don't street race anymore. I've only done it twice and thats enough for me its just to risky.

I only street race on closed course settings in Mexico or against police officers, particularly the NC highway patrol. The latter doesn't much approve of it and I have the paperwork to prove so.

Hell, I've been a street racer all my Life. We used to use the old industrial areas that were abandoned at night, except for us. I'm 48 yrs old now though, so it would look pretty silly if I was still out there street racing with the youngsters on a Saturday night.

By far one of the better built trucks on this site. If I was financially stable I would probably buy a RC R/T and build up a 408 kinda like you and others have. That plus some giggle gas would be a trip.

From first hand experience I think a 408+nitrous makes for an awsome street/strip combo. It will run the numbers when your at the track or be pretty streetable when your driving normally. Turbos and superchargers are awsome but seems like people are always popping gaskets or having tuning issues. 400-450rwhp on the street will cover 98% of the other cars you will run across.

Oh I agree with you for the most part on forced induction setups. I haven't popped any gaskets yet with my S/C setup. Boils down to having a tune to keep these things happy. Just cost a ton of coin to get it all dialed in. Once running right they seem to be happy on the street as well. I just want to do a different build down the road.

Oh, c'mon. An FMU doesn't cost THAT much. :nana:

Very true sir. Though $375 for SCT, $250 to 300 for used injectors or new. Plus that handy LM-2 that range from $275 to $450. Is just the tip of the ice berg of what I have recently spent on making my truck happy. Got tired of the split second box and aux injectors. Are you in the market for stuff like that Duner? Will cut ya a good price on that stuff.

I've been playing with my SCT PRP and I'm not ready to give up the FMU just yet. But it's getting closer.....
