I live in Chicago...this is the first whiskey tasting Ive heard of...usually they do tons and tons of wine tastings though.

YES! MM & DP are an excellent combo. I usually just stick to the plain old Wild Turkey 101 & Coke on most occasions. But they're right, after a while it all tastes the same.

So yea...the show was a blast. Got to try a bunch of top shelf whiskeys Ive never heard of. I think my fav. was the Chivas Regal 25. It tasted great...no burn...jus soooooo smooth.

Cant wait till next year...Im def. gonna make it to Whiskey Fest 2009!

They werent full shots...I tasted about 40-50 different whiskeys...the average amount you got was Id say about a half shot. None of us drove...we just took the train downtown and walked to the hotel that was hosting it. Got home the same way...drunk train rides are the best. The hangover blew goat balls. I laid on the couch almost all day Saturday. Didnt see any good fights...I was surprised actually, it was a really white collar crowd. A bunch of people in business suits and shit...a few bikers (who were cool as fuck) and a BUNCH of fine ass women. I was lovin it...but most were working the tables so it was next to impossible to pull any ass. All in all I had a blast...if anyone is near Chicago and wants to go next year let me know...Ill see if I can get more tickets.
