console woes, 1999 cc, durango or dak console??

I have a 99 R/T CC trying to decide on the style of console that will fit. I see a bunch of durango consoles with the HVAC (or heater vents), and like that concept, as I have kids and rigging up a/c ( I live in the south, hotter then hell this year) that blows out in the back of the cab would help, but I'm not sure if that type will fit into my truck.
If I'm correct, the 'Rango had two types of tunnels, a low, and a high. the low tunnel had the vents, the other didn't, and the high tunnel is what is in the Dak's. IS that info right? I'd like to put the 01-03 console, but that is a different shape all together.

So, I'm looking for verification, the HVAC style rango style, has anyone tried to fit this into a dakota? will it fit? or am I limited to trying to find a dakota console? I've seen some exploded view diagrams, and they seem to be different, but I couldn't verify part numbers at all, so I'm unsure.

I can tell you the a/c feeds off a vent along the passenger side next to the hump. Want me to try and measure anything?

I could use measurements, but need to be sure it canbe done, I'd like to put the durango with the vents, functional, in my dak R/T, but I'm unsure they are the same size and shape, as far as mounting together. if you could provide me with measurements, that'd be awesome, though I'm heading to a salvage yard this weekend, so thanks for offering, but I'll be able to get em myself.

No mods, I've got a 99 durango, so my center console is exactly what you're describing.

shit. don't think it'll work, the center hump looks different. back on the search for a dak console. from some of the diagrams I've found, the durango had two different types in this year. not sure of the differences.
