Dave, I heard you exhaust over on the DD forums and OMG that sounds good as hell. So, I wanna know the specifics...headers back. The difference from your truck to mine on sound though would be the 360 block to your stroker, so sound may be off, but damn that deep sound is killer!!!! Never been a fan of Magnaflow but you might have convinced me to swap over from the FM!

He didn't have a stroker until now. And it's not in the truck yet.

You sure about that? 600 is a lot for bolt ons and a blower.
Anyways...this is the thread in reference:

Thats with the blower. Yeah 600 is alot, it was also a pretty nice setup with alot of boost.:woot:

Yup, as mentioned that was with a 360, 18lbs of boost does wonders for a 360's output ;) (that's what I saw on the dyno that day, usually saw 15psi on the street).
My exhuast setup was Spintech midlength headers, Spintech 2.5" duals (no cats) with 3" Magnaflow mufflers dumped (14" case). The Magnaflows sounded great, love 'em. Gonna go with Dynomax's for the new setup tho, should still sound pretty good with 3.5" duals and a big ass cam :woot:

I liked the spintech muff you HAD better:nana:

Wow 18lbs. I never you hit that much.
What pulley did you use for 15lbs? I read somewhere about changing the crank pulley out rather than swapping blower pulleys to help with belt slip...?

Only time I saw 18lbs was that day on the dyno, on the street/track it only hit 15psi, with the same setup, guess that's what a no load dyno will do for ya LOL
That was with an 8" crank pulley and the stock Paxton pulley.

There should be load on the dyno. When I ran the Mustang Dyno at school, you enter in the weight of the vehicle, the dyno has electromagnetic brakes(similar to a train) which simulate a load on vehicle based on its weight.
It almost sounds like there was TOO much load, because your going to make less boost, with less of a load. (example-reving to redline in park creates little to no boost.)

It was on a Dynojet, so I dunno, just know that was the only time I saw 18psi, and it scared the crap out of me LOL I was waiting for it to go boom :jester:

you doin the Ultra-Flo's? i had those on mine once (two of them welded end to end). i realy like the deep tone they produced. i would have done one again but they didn't have 4" :jester:

Yup, Ultra-Flo's, should sound pretty good. I was gonna stick with Magnaflows but the only 3.5" they have are stainless and they're a lil too pricey.

Hmmmm......lot of info here. I had dual Ultraflows on there before and didn't like the sound too much, very loud. I even had a set up one using the 23" long muffler (2x). All this with Mopar headers. Thats why I was considering the Magnaflows. Then again I'm not dumped either, mines straight out the back.
I dunno...deep is what I want with less noise. My dual 50's on their are loud, somewhat deep, but way to loud in the cab. When I heard your Magnaflows I was like, WOOOO! Thats some deep shit right there, sounded good.
Only difference with mine today versus the dual UF's back then is more porting, more airflow, and long tube headers-which that alone will affect sound.
If I went back to packed type mufflers, after hearing yours and the experience I had with the UFs, I may try the Magnaflows.

I've heard some sound clips of them on some pretty badass setups and they sound pretty mean, I think I'll like 'em :)

I think you'll like the Magnaflows, nice deep sound. I'm sure my new setup will crazy loud, but that's ok with me :D

LOL :)
next question then...set up. I've gone through MANY different exhausts than most, almost to the levels of rate of underwear changing LOL!! but you don't know how it'll sound until you do it yourself. My previous exhaust (one on DD forums) was Moper headers - x pipe - no cats - 2x 50 series deltaflows. Since that video I went to LT headers which made the truck sound like ass, so I ditched the X for a H pipe. With that said, if I go to Magnaflows which are straight through design, should I go back to X pipe for little resistance or H is ok?

I would think the H would have more resistance than the X.

I'll be running an h-pipe on mine, more for space concerns than anything else. Some say the h makes a lil more torque, while the x makes a lil more hp.
