I thought there was someone down in Yakima but I'm not sure. Would like to meet some local people rather than driving 350 miles to visit Ed lol

Yeah, doesn't seem to be a lot of R/T's on the east side of the mountains. I live in Yakima and there's a guy on this forum that lives in Wapato. I've seen a couple other R/T's around town but they must not be DRTC members. I know there are a few members from the left side of the state on here.

I actually saw a really nice red cc not far from where you live in Spokane a couple weeks ago.

There's not too many on the east side.

Pat Allan (99dart) and Tom (tcuillier) are 2 of the O.G.'s in Eastern Wash. beside's you two guys.
Then there's Jason Watt over in Idaho. He's rarely on here.

About 10 or so of us on the west side of the mountains.

Sorry, I missed your original post! Yeah, I live here in Pasco. Pat Allen is in Wenatchee.
I have to agree, driving 350 miles just to meet Ed would be hard to justify!!! LOL, Just kidding! Ed's a great guy for sure. There are a couple other R/Ts here in the Tri-Cities, but none that I've talked to, are interested in being members.
Hopefully, I'll get up your way next year to race in Spokane. I understand Renegade Raceway, just out of Yakima, is closing permanently . Walla Walla has a strip, but it's just an 1/8 mile track.

Yeah we're hoping someone will step up and keep Renegade going but not looking good at this point. The track has a ton of potential if someone got serious about making it work. Smack in middle of the state is the biggest advantage. The people leasing it now took it over from their Dad who passed away, I think about 10 years ago, and were never really interested in running it so they haven't really kept it up or promoted it.

I ran down there last night and the track surface was crap. I hook up way better on any city street than I did down there.

Tom, you should jump in there and take over the lease. :biggthumpup:

Yeah, I'll take it over --- soon as my money tree matures. All I'm getting off it right now is nickles and dimes! LOL
I ran there about 2 years ago and like you say, the prep was crap. It actually needs to be completely repaved---pretty rough in places. Great location though.

I don't follow this forum very often. I'm glad to hear we have some guys here in Eastern WA. I wish we could get some people interested in some sort of gathering. Maybe a meet & BS session at the park in Moses Lake sometime?

It would be cool to meet you "new" guys. The club has kind of gone cold the last 3-4 yrs. We used to have a "wine run" every yr from Pasco to the Yakima area. But, I think just meeting in a Park somewhere would be cool, too. Bring a picnic lunch along and have a good time talking R/T's! :)
