Marijuana Buyback

So I heard on the radio this morning that today, until 8pm, in North Carolina you can take any amount of marijuana into any police station and they will give you twice the street value of what it's worth. No questions asked, no names taken, no pictures, nothing. You bring an ounce, they give you cash. You bring a pound, they give you cash. I think they said the limit was up to $5000. They spoke with the PR guy for the DEA and he said that this is a way to get drugs off the street and money back into the economy in a legal way. They've been doing a gun buyback for years now and it's worked pretty well in getting illegal weapons off the street. They said that the marijuana buyback is working well in a few other states, so they were going to try it.

i heard one guy call in and said that he had an ounce and they included the weight of the baggie. said he got about $120 for it. no questions asked.

i'm still a little unsure of it since it's April Fools day, but you never know what the gov't will do now a days.

So you could go in with an ounce get 120 for it walk and go buy 2 ounces sounds to me like its a fucked up plan putting extra money into the people that buy and used drugs.

The state will spend an estimated 10 million dollars on the program during it’s one day buy-back but also estimates that 70 percent of those funds will be put back into the economy with the state collecting sales tax it did not collect when the money was originally spent on marijuana.

Yea, he was right, its 1/4 and ounce....sorry...kinda just the way Ive always talked about it....but yea, I can get a 1/4 for $40 around here as well....but its the shit with seeds and shitty taste. The good stuff goes for about 100-120 for an ounce and is worth every penny. No seeds, taste great and only takes 1 hit to get the effect of a full blunt of the other shit.
