ok I have an Innovate LC1 (wideband) and the Innovate OT1 (OBD2 reader). The LM-2 was not out yet when I purchased these two together. They both work and I can log on logworks. Problem is I know the data from the OT1 is not correct. For example at idle the factory tach will say around 700 and logworks will say 450. The spread gets larger as RPM's increase. Sounds like everyone is getting good data from the LM-2. Do you feel it is accurate? I don't want to sepnd more cash on this stuff but, I am getting truck tuned next Saturday so I have to do something and soon.

Thanks

i can't get my lm-2 to log OBD data, and there are 1 or 2 others with problems also... i had to hook up the accessory cable to the MSD to get RPM. It's accurate.

I can't get RPM's from the OBDII cable to read on my LM-2 either.

Was there a part you had to buy to get that to work? Or did it come in the kit.

depends... the "basic kit" doesn't come with it. the other one does.

This is the cable i used:

i might eventually use it for other things too... im only using it for RPM.

I've been able to log RPM using OBD II with my LM2. I've used it on a few different year trucks with no problems.

Before the Innovate forums were closed, there were a lot of issues with the LM2 from unit to unit. Makes me wonder if the newer LM2's got screwed with OBD II RPM signals when they were trying to fix the analog RPM signal. Just a thought...

just for the record- my LM-2 is fine, it just doesn't like my truck. It works as it should in any other car I plug it into.

If you get an RPM converter from innovate, you can use your lc-1 to log ... kinda like the LM-1 ... i think.
