I just thought I would post this up for info because several people have asked where I got them. I paided $300 plus shipping with a military discount for the set. He is great to work with. Just send him an email and he will fab as many breather holes as you need and an oil fil per your location. Fitment issues where minor due to the huge brake booster on the early years (98-99?) I just cut a small notch and it fits fine.

Do they have baffles inside?

Yes! I just had to do a little fabricating but I am used to that on this truck.

Those are nice...

With that thick ass flange I'd be tempted to get 5 bolt covers, my 5 bolt covers don't leak, and they sure are easier to get off.

EDIT: Nice engine bay...Really clean!!!

Thanks for posting the info. I was one of the fuckers that bugged you about them. Great looking engine bay.

Will they fit with a/c?

Will they fit with a/c?

Jeff and I were trying to figure that out. Looks like they will. At MOST you'd need to shave that angle down and make it consistent. (Look at it and you'll understand what I'm saying) It does clear the alternator pretty perfectly though.

Wow, those are very nice. Looks like a robot laid down those welds.

Does anyone have JM valve covers? Because looking at them and mine I can't see any difference between the machining. Other than the JM ones being chrome, that's about it. How much would it cost to get a set of Doug Lee chromed? Someone might save some money and get the same quality covers. Hmmmm

JM covers aren't chromed, they are just a high polished aluminum. I have a set and was lucky enough to purchase them from another member that did not use them, so I did not have to pay John's hugely inflated price. They are a beautiful valve cover but these look to be just as nice and half the price. They would fit with A/C as the JM covers fit just fine.

Damn, guess I need to learn how to polish...

I'm interested. But let me get this straight first. $295 group guy price; plus $50 ($25x2 for breather holes, one for each side); plus any $ for a fill hole? So that puts it @ $345 and possibly plus $$ for a fill hole on one side. I know its not necessary, you could fill through the breather hole. Oh, that price shipped or not?

Let me know, or I can just email them myself. But you're the one that made contact.

Thanks,
Bob

Fill hole is included already. I am going to machine my own holes so I can put my own breathers in as I like. And yes it is plus shipping. This is a great deal, no one else makes them AND when they did, they were about 450 and they had to be modified to fit the alternator.

Cool! I wish I had done something differently with mine. But I had no idea how the holes would turn out. Good luck.
