This year.....
There's a little story involved, so grab a drink.
I just recently did a head,cam, and TB swap.
Currently I am running: 2.02/1.65 EQ Magnums W/.600 springs 218/224 .561/.569 113lsa installed on a 109cl M-1 intake 1.7RR's B@G M-1 flash 58 F&B Volant CAI MSaine trans MSaine 2800 stall STOCK Manifolds 99 Y pipe(no cats) and a Flow Super 40 NO AC M&H 325's NX Plate 100 shot
This Is my first time at the track since the install. I am still running 21#ers I have probably have 2 miles on this setup on a fresh reset I ran the same time N/A that i ran before. It bogged like a sum bitch out the hole, But it screams above 3000 r's. N/A I picked up 1.5 mph.
Now heres the kicker. On Nitrous she rocked!! I ran the 100 shot and I was posting times the same as my 150 shot runs!! My previous best for the 100 shot was a 13.61 @ 97.68. Tonight on a 100 shot I went 13.11@105.39. I picked up .503 E.T and 7.71 MPH Shit the best MPH on the 150 was 101.4.
So I wish I had better N/A times (14.8) Because of the mph I think I need Gears and a bigger verter. Also I think I need a tune and maybe 24 pounders. I will have a set of spintech mids this month(which is a big piece of the puzzle) I'm thinking the 58TB is too big although it seems fine when I'm spraying. I bet if I threw a blower on this bitch she would fly(So much air) Also 1st gear shits at 5500 and the 2-3 shift manually at 5800. I bet with this cam I could shift a lot higher
I am hitting up the Dyno at cecil to get an idea whats going on, then I'll get a reflash.
what do you guys think I should do to get better n/a times? I really dont care about street performance. I'm more conserned with track times. I almost wanna put a nastier cam in it. something with a tighter lsa. Dont care bout emissions, can have the cam swapped in a day:biggthumpup:

thats cool hopefully those times will pick up a bit. What was your 60 foot and the rest of the slip look like?

I picked up 50 horse power based on the 150 -100 shot E.T.'s:drive: but I want more!!!!!!!!!!

get rid of you flowmaster ....i mean flow restricive muffler those things are garbage...yeah they sound good but you can get a better sound out of the dyno max bullets and they flow like hell. also i think you should go and get yourself a sct hand held tuner it makes all the differenc in the world.. a msd 6a box would also help. but like you said once you put those headers on there you will see a huge gain trust me.

Well I would address your exhaust - once you do I think you will see some nice gains even NA.....its been well proven these trucks love to breath.....so stock exhaust manifolds might be holding you back, moreso than even maybe a converter and gears.....

that's my setup bofore i did the bottom half (damn close anyway)
i bested a 13.8 N/A, 12.25 100shot & 11.9 150shot.
give it time for the PCM to learn and your times will start to drop off.
also a 3200 stall, gears and some headers will make a HUGE difference. i had a 2800 on mine back then and it wasn't quite enough.

you are running a decently big cam for what you have. i usually see those cam in s/c applications, thats y when you run nitrous the truck wakes up. i think you would have been better off going with a 210 cam. Ull fingure it out tho and good luck with it.

1.94 60' The track prep was not that good. Chas and I both had a hard time hooking up

If you decide to go with 24lb injectors I have some Ford ones for sale.. $85 shipped and they're yours.. These also have the 4 hole pintle.

Congratulations Bryan! Nice Times! You should really see an improvement with headers and full exhaust.

Hey Bryan, I just found old timeslips and lookin at them I had 1.7.. 60' times on all the 12 sec runs .I was posting 1.79 60's ,1.78 ,1.77 on several 12 sec run's so that track prep was BS:bs: My best Tues was a 1.82 on the first pass it went slower as the nite went on. So hang in there wait til exhaust is in and find some traction:burnout: before you rip it apart!
