has anyone used turtle wax liquid clay bar. A buddy of mine used it on his fullsize black ram. He had some light swirl marks and alot of water spots. It turned out great looks smooth as glass I think i might give it a try in a week or 2. If anyone has used it give me some feedback.

Most of us I'm sure have claybarred our trucks once before. They really do a nice job. I don't know anything about the liquid bar though.

I'd be interested to hear more about it... I have been using the Mother's clay bar, always liked it, although i find I do go through a ton of detail spray...

one grand clay bar all the way!! Alotbigger than the competitors bars.
I use a 12-16oz bottle of special touch (about one bottle per job)

If you're talking about this stuff

It's OK as a mild surface cleaner for small water spots, but it's nowhere near a real Clay Bar. You really have to work at it for harder stuff like tree sap and forget about getting out anything really stuck to the paint.

I just got done clay barring my truck this week, and nothing compares to the real thing. Go ahead and get a clay bar kit that comes with all the junk you need for about $15-20 and get it done the right way. You'll appreciate the work and difference afterwards. My trucks paint was neglected for the better part of a year, after the clay bar and wax the paint looks and feels better than when it was new.

I will file that away in the tips n tricks file for when it (finaly) warms up enough and stops snowing here

Yeah, I just take a spray bottle, squirt about a 1/4" of Dawn soap into the bottom, then fill with water. Works great. Quick detailer is too damn expensive for that shit! :jester:
