I seem to remember some owners having issues getting power on their cig/power outlet. My 2000 has suffered this same cause since 2007. I even hard wired in my old LM-1 cause of this. I searched high and low the fuses on side of dash and in the engine bay. Traced the wires even, could never get power. Well today as I was getting ready to remove the dash for other reasons. I spot a 10 and a 20 amp fuse on the backside of the fuse block that you access on the drivers side. 20 amp fuse was blown imagine that, so replaced and now my cig/ power outlet work. So ditching the LM-1 wire setup and now can run my new LM-2 off the power outlet. Just gotta remember to unplug it now when trucks off. Or do what AdakotaRTguy did.

More like fucking dodge! They couldn't have made room for two more fuses on the side of the dash. No lets play hide the fuses...

I went without mine for almost a year, then cleaning one day looked up and saw some back there. I dont think it is even in the owners manual about those fuses back there.

Yeah Jody it stopped working shortly after we re did the wiring in the dash at your old place. I was using a power inverter when I was going to Tampa in 07' with my mom. That was the last time it worked.

Yeah we got it working, this was 4 or 5 months later when it happened. Either way all is good now. Dash is coming out next week. SCT is just around the corner woot woot.

Sorry to post on a dead thread but any chance of posting a pic? I believe I know which fuse box your talking about but a pic would be reassuring.

The one in the dash on the backside, lay on your back and look up.

Hmm I'm in a pickle I guess I went by the pic and all I saw was the yellow box with all the cables plugging into it but no fuses on the back side that I could see

The fuse for the power outlets was moved to the PDC under the hood in '01. Fuse 'D' 20 amp.

Checked and the fuse is not gone... Could it be the wiring harnes?
