has anyone here ordered a large item (like a hood) that had to come ground by truck? my question is who takes care of the brokerage and gst? does the trucking company stop at the border and pay these and then charge me when they arrive? also if anyone has had a hood shipped, how much was your brokerage fees and any other hidden crap:jerkit:

I would get it sent to a place on the other side of the border then go and pick it up. Here is a place some poeple i know have used before, not sure how close you are to there, but deppending on where is the closest border to you there should be a similar place

Where you are located, you are kind of screwed. Buying products from the States and having them shipped to Canada can be very costly. Not only is the shipping over priced but the company that does the shipping will also charge you an over inflated brokerage fee to do the paper work to get your product over the border. If at all possible, send what ever you are looking for to the nearest border point, and pick it up yourself. If that is not possible, be prepared to pay HUGE.
