Some guys have had probs with the FP switches. Blown down tube isn't really needed unless you have the bottle in the cab.

But you'll drill holes in the cab?

thinking of mounting the bottle to one of the plastic covers in the rear tray but i'm going to renforce it a little so it will pass tech

You still need to drill a hole to the outside to vent the blow down tube some how. I wouldn't trust that plastic to hold the bottle on it's own. That bottle is gonna be pretty heavy when full.

yea i'll figure something out. I'm not dead set about it being in the cab yet. would be nice just to reach in the back seat and open it up.
thats what the elcetric bottle opener is for lol

So you'd rather drill holes in the floor of the cab ? brilliant ! The safety issues alone should be enough for you to not even consider doing that. IMO

A ~30# bottle flying around inside the cab would be fun.
There's already holes in the bed to run the lines and wiring through. You just need to drill for the mounting bracket.

Another thing to consider, bottles work best when they are mounted in line with the frame, not across it. The reason is, the pickup is in the bottom corner, opposite the label. If the bottle is mounted inline, the inertia pushes all of the liquid to the bottom. If it's mounted sideways, it forces it against the side of the bottle and it may suck some air when the bottle gets low.

Autolite 3923 = 1 range colder. Autolite 3922 = 2 ranges colder.

Are you asking me?

Yep. How much air do you run in the Hoosiers? Do you know which compound they are?

I think the 60' was something like 1.91 and the e.t was 13.0 @ 108. I had trouble with the fuel side of the nitrous not shutting off completely, so it probably wasn't performing to it's full potential.
I run about 17 psi in the Hoosiers, because I like the stability at the big end, plus it grips plenty good at that psi. The reason being, they're 9" slicks on 8.5" rims, so I get a good contact patch no matter how hight the psi might be.
I'm not sure on the compound, but I can look and see what it says for you.

*totally jacking dude's thread delphi style* I was just wondering what yours put down. I got my new to me one to do 13.1@104 last weekend with a similar series of 60'. I was thinking it would do better than that, but I didn't have the skinnies up front and had a bit of extra weight in it so I'm hoping it still has more. I haven't played with the shocks or Caltracs yet either. It was more of a learning experience to see how everything behaved. Mine was wobbling back and forth pretty good at 15psi at the top. Gonna take it out again this weekend one more time before Cecil. I need to get a jacket again before I can spray it.

ah man don't worry about the thread jacking its all good. Well i recieved all the goods today, the 15lb bottle in the truck is not going to work so its going in the bed this sucker is huge. Looks like i'm going to make some custom noid brackets b/c i don't care for the dinky ones they give you in the kit along with a switch panel.

To tell the Gods honest truth, I think the main thing holding mine back is the cam. I don't think it's right for my combo. If I do anything else in the future, it would be to change cams and port the Eddys.
I got it re-tuned to the 4bbl t/b yesterday, so I'm ready to juice it again. I'm anxious to see how well the Zex perimeter plate will perform. :burnout:
