Alright throughout the summer Eddyville Dragway which is about 20 miles south of where I live in southeast Iowa has what they call "Midnight Madness." The next one is happening June 18th on a Friday night. It's an opportunity for people that have anything from mild to wild street or strip rigs to come out on a friday night and make some passes. Besides just making passes though the whole night has a street racing theme to it. ET's are not posted at the end of the races, just a win arrow. After the testing portion earlier in the night where you and your buddies can scout other vehicles people are provoked to start wagering races against one another that you think you're evenly matched against. It can be for 5 bucks to however deep your pockets are.
It's a real enjoyable time, brings a lot of younger people to the drag strip which is saying something in my area. (and sadly it brings out the rice rockets) but there should always be somebody there for someone to find to race. The one last weekend there was as far as trucks go, plenty of quick ass diesels! lol, 1 ford lightning, and a 2wd ext ford that had wheels/tires and side exit exhaust (I never went and picked his brain about it)
Just thought I would let you guys in on this small town tracks enjoybale night and let me know if you're interested. I realize this is in Iowa but this division has Illinois in it so I wanted to post here as well.
