I picked up a universal GPS mount from Target on clearance for $10. cheap and easy way to mount your LM2 for easy viewing:
pick one of the supplied gps adapters, drill a hole in it for the receptacle in back of the LM-2... stick some double sided tape between the adapter and lm-2 to eliminate swiveling on the screw.....
rip out the suction cup on the window mount & put the mount in the small cupholder. inside the threaded part that accepts the flex mount, drill a hole in it and pick your favorite screw to secure it to the factory console.
the best part is, if you remove the lm-2, you still have that little rubber cupholder insert to hide the hole you drilled. win/win.
took all of about 10 mins... i need to figure something else out with the power cable, hanging off the dash just doesn't do it for me. i might add a power receptacle somewhere under the dash.
