.. yes, my converter came. just call me mr. happy pants.
trans is ready to come out- the two top bolts and crossmember are the only things holding her in. it looks like if i drop the crossmember, that'll allow for a little more room to get at thoes piece of shit bolts some dumbass stuck way the fuck up there. who the fuck put these things togeher? 6 year old mexicans with little hands? jeeze....
i am happy to report though, that being a daily driver for the past 8 years has yielded zero rust anywhere... and that's sayin something for a wisconsin truck!! lots and lots and lots of underbody flushes!! didnt hurt that i had it in NC for 3 years either, lol.

I've found that a couple of extenstions and a swivel coupler works pretty good to get at those top bolts.

Right on Pete
My Viper is sitting in the garage, it'll go in when I drop the new engine in. P.I. says it'll probably stall around 4200 n/a on the new setup, higher on the bottle, so it should work well. It would probably like a higher stall for n/a, but then it would be too high on the bottle, so gotta compromise a lil.

how do you figure what the optimal stall is with juice?... i know NA its 3/400 under peak tq... same for n2o?... how do you get one that's happy with both? just shoot for the middle?

On a small shot it's not as big of a deal, but with the 300 shot there's really no happy medium. So I have to compromise on the n/a side, or else it'll drive through the converter on the bottle. Ryan hasn't dyno'd my engine yet, but I'd guess that the optimal stall for n/a for me would probably be around 5k. PI said mine should work well for my setup as-is, so I'll give it a shot, can always change the stall later if I need to.

I hope so, for all the time and money it's taking LOL Should be a fun setup, just hoping I can have it all tweaked and ready to tear up the track for August

Hah, you're worried about convertor speeds. I'd be still trying to figure out how to get it all to hook up. I vote for utterly obliterating whatever kind of slicks you put back there on a 300 shot.

Yeah, should be interesting LOL Gonna try out the M&H full slicks. And I'll be using a progressive controller, probably only spraying 100 off the line and then having the rest come in after I get some traction. It's definitely gonna take some tweaking. Might have to invest in some caltracs. There's guys out there running pretty quick on leaf springs and traction bars, so it's possible, just gonna take some work. :)
